Pakostane is a fisherman's paradise!

The cliffy Croatian coast offers many possibilities for fishing. The mild climate enables to follow this sport throughout the whole year!
The freshwater lake Vrana which is situated approximately 2km from Pakostane, welcomes enthuasiatic fishermen to try their luck to catch pickerels and catfish. The adriatic sea offers not only giltheads and sea bass, but also numerous other species such as tuna, amberjacks and many more...


From January until the end of March we celebrate the amberjack season.

April until late May the skipjack-tunas swarms come visit our coastal area.
From June throughout October swordfish and bluefin tuna fans have very good chances to have an encounter with their favorite fish.
All other fish species can be angled throughout the whole year!

Traditional hand angling for calamares, giltheads, sea bass and many more species, or tow fishing for dentex or amberjacks (possibly throughout the whole year).

Vertical jigging is a fishing technique that has become popular for the past few years. From November until March we use this technique, where we aim for big amberjacks. In Pakostane they weigh up to 40 kg in average.

Big Game Fishing, the name says it all! Tuna and swordfish are the target. These species can weigh over 100 kg. On 400 hp large boats out in the open waters of the adriatic sea and let the games begin!
